My education, a master in marriage and family therapy and a doctorate in clinical psychology, has a great influence in my art work. The intergrading of psychology with my sculpture theme is my goal, therefore capturing human nature with all its vulnerability, polarities, virtues, darkness, goodness, strength, weakness, pathology and normality. My intent is for the viewer to be touched and intrigued by the art piece deep down to their psyche due to the human nature stories brought out in my work. Every sculture piece tells a story about humanity and its range of psychologicl issues. Another unique aspect of my art work is how I combine different material (bronze and stone) to convey my message. While under a hypnotic trance, my subconscious reveals ideas and themes for my sculptures.
I enjoy being involved the whole process of designing the piece, sculpturing in wax, making the mold, sprueing, making the investment and the pouring of the bronze, along with chasing and the patina.
